Face to Face
“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”
Revelation 22:3–4
Encouragement
The Bible opens in a garden where a curse falls, and it closes in a city where that curse is lifted for good. John was an old man, exiled on an island, when he saw this. He had walked with Jesus, watched friends die for their faith, and waited a long time. Here God let him glimpse the ending: no more curse, God’s throne at the center of everything, and His people serving Him gladly. Best of all, “they shall see his face.” Whatever we’re carrying this Tuesday, it isn’t the last chapter. One day we’ll look on the One we’ve been trusting, and we’ll know for certain that we belong to Him.
Something to Ponder
How might the hope of seeing God’s face someday change the way we carry today’s burdens?
Prayer
Father, thank You that the curse doesn’t get the final word. When today feels heavy, lift my eyes to the day I’ll see You face to face. Until then, let me serve You with a glad heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
