Worth the Wait

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3

Encouragement

Habakkuk brought hard questions to God. He looked at the violence and injustice around him and asked how long it would go on. Then he did something we can learn from: he climbed up to his watchpost and waited to hear what God would say. The answer came with a word about timing. The vision had an appointed time. It might seem slow, but it wouldn’t fail, and it wouldn’t arrive a moment late. Some of us have been holding a prayer for years, and the waiting has worn us thin. God hasn’t forgotten what He promised. His timing rarely matches ours, yet He’s never late, and what He has spoken will come to pass.

Something to Ponder

What promise or prayer are we waiting on, and how can we wait with hope instead of worry?

Prayer

Father, waiting is hard for me. When it feels like nothing is changing, remind me that You keep Your word right on time. Give me patience and a hopeful heart while I wait. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
